About Me
Hi, I’m Thyago! 👋
I’m a technology enthusiast who learned to program self-taught in 2000, when I was just 16 years old. That teenage curiosity about understanding how things work led me to dive into the world of programming, and I’ve never stopped since.
Education and Career
I graduated in Systems Analysis in 2006, building on the knowledge I had been developing on my own. Today I work as a Software Engineer, but my main profession is Federal Highway Police Officer — an unusual combination that gives me unique perspectives in both the technology world and public service.
Passions and Interests
Beyond programming, I have several passions that drive my daily life:
- 🏍️ Motorcycling — The freedom of riding on the open road is unmatched
- 🚗 Automobiles — Always fascinated by mechanics and performance
- 🎯 Airsoft — Strategy, tactics, and plenty of adrenaline
- 🏠 Home Automation — Transforming my home into a smart environment
- 💻 Technology — From hardware to software, I’m always exploring
Home Lab & Automation
At home, I maintain a home lab server running several open source systems. The centerpiece is Home Assistant, which serves as the brain for all my home automations. I integrated security cameras using Frigate for intelligent object and event detection, all working seamlessly and automated.
